    Blade source effect on LASIK flap thickness

    This article, published in the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, shows the results of a Emory University study comparing the flap thickness created with the Amadeus® microkeratome using the blades from Surgical Instrument Systems and distributed by AMO and the ML7090 CLB® from MED-LOGICS, Inc. The study concluded that the Amadeus® microkeratome created thinner, more consistent flaps with the ML7090 CLB®.
